I visited to the exhibition "The space of flowers and birds" being held at Paula Annex Gallery in Ginza.
Robot designer Tatsuya Matsui's installation is consisted of natural flowers and birds robot. Between the overwhelming force of branches and foliage & fiery gloriosa lily, the bird robots are obscurely swinging their head (they just gaze round ....so humorously!!)
先日打ち合わせの帰りに、銀座のポーラアネックスギャラリーにて開催されている『花鳥間』展へ寄り道してまいりました。
ロボットデザイナー松井龍哉氏による、草花と小鳥のロボットとで構成されたインスタレーション。鮮やかな炎のようなグロリオサと紅葉した枝の圧倒的な迫力の中で、ユーモラスに首を振る小鳥のロボットのなんとも言えないほのぼの感....(>u<) ちょこんととまっている小鳥達を覆う様にうねる植物の力強さが際立ちます。
フラワー・ロボティクス社の生み出すロボット達は、まるで関わることで人や自然の存在を引き立たせる空気感を持っているかのよう。
She is "Posy"... I have wanted to meet her for a long time. Surprisingly, her innocent appearance made me feel so sentimental.
- "POSY" is capable to express a 3years old girl's pure view of the world and completely change the surrounding atmosphere. It is not "Posy" that makes it happen, but viewers are drifting around in their mind.-
This is the word of Mr. Matsui. True to his words, I also might be seeing the image of innocent girl my own through this small robot unconsciously.
「POSYは子供の持つ無垢な世界観を発散させているのではない、見る人が彼女を通して自己の内面を浮遊しているのだ」と言う松井氏の言葉通り、私達の視線は抽象化された彼女の姿を透過し、私達それぞれの持つピュアな少女のイメージを捉えているのでしょうか。今回の展示では電源が入っていないため、幼い子供のしぐさそのままに少し上の方を見上げて、ただ佇む姿のPOSY。ずっと見つめていると何だか感傷的な気持ちになります。
インスタレーションに使われている草花は、この週末から白い花に展示替えだそう。10月21日まで開催されていますので、POSYに会ってみたいという方は是非。他にもジュエリーやお洋服のディスプレイロボット Paletteや航空機スターフライヤーの模型なども展示されていますので、おススメです*
